Event : 65th Republic Day celebrations

The 65th Republic Day was celebrated on 26th January, 2014 at Embassy premises with the hoisting of the National Flag by Ambassador Sh. Sanjay Verma followed by an address. It was attended by around 200 Indians residing in Addis Ababa and other parts of Ethiopia, mostly Indian Professors, businessmen and teachers. Earlier, on 21st January, Republic Day Lunch Reception was held which was attended by Ethiopian dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps and the Indian community. Minister of State of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Berhane GebreChristos, attended the celebrations and gave a speech. Dy PM of Ethiopia, Debretsion Gebremichael, State Industry Minister Mr. Mebrahtu Meles, and Special Adviser to Ethiopian PM Mr. Fasil Nahom, also attended the event.
