India and Africa CDC Explore Deeper Cooperation in Health Security

As part of their official visit to Addis Ababa, the Indian delegation led by Mr. Dammu Ravi, Secretary (Economic Relations), and Mr. Mayank Singh, Joint Secretary (E&SA) met with H.E. Dr. Jean Kaseya, Director General of the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) ( 11 June 2025).

Discussions focused on collaborative approaches to global health challenges, pandemic preparedness, and capacity building in the healthcare sector. India and Africa CDC reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening health systems and advancing shared goals in public health and disease prevention.

This engagement reflects India’s unwavering support in building a healthier, more resilient Africa.
