The 67th Republic Day of India was celebrated on 26th January 2016 with a Flag Hoisting ceremony at the Embassy. Sh. Ashok Kumar, Charge d’ Affaires hoisted the national flag in the presence of more than 200 Indian community members, friends of India and their families.

The Mission had also hosted a reception at Hilton Hotel, Addis Ababa on 25th January 2016 to mark the 66th anniversary of the Republic Day of India. More than 300 guests attended this function, which include ambassadors, Ethiopian officials from different Ministries and Indian community members. H.E. Taye Atsekeselassie State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia graced the occasion as Chief Guest.
