Promotion of Cultural ties with Diaspora (PCTD) – Indian Diaspora in Multilateral Diplomacy

The Embassy of India in Addis Ababa hosted event on “Indian Diaspora in Multilateral Diplomacy,” bringing together distinguished Indian professionals serving in multilateral organizations, international development institutions, healthcare, business, and diplomacy.
The event was inaugurated by H.E. Shri Anil Kumar Rai, Ambassador of India to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, who highlighted the invaluable role of the Indian diaspora in strengthening international cooperation, fostering development partnerships, and building enduring people-to-people ties.
The programme featured insightful presentations by eminent professionals from organizations including the World Bank, UNICEF, the agribusiness sector, healthcare, the India Business Forum, Railtel and other institutions. Speakers shared their experiences and contributions across diverse fields, underscoring the positive impact of the Indian diaspora in Ethiopia and beyond.
The event concluded with an interactive discussion, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen professional networks, and reaffirm the shared commitment to advancing India-Ethiopia cooperation and multilateral engagement.
