Ambassador was delighted to receive President of Gamballa University at the Embassy. They discussed possible areas of collaboration between Gambella University and India – ICCR scholarships, ITEC slots for Gambella University, Study in India slots for Ethiopia and cooperation between Gambella University and select institutes of higher learning in India.

For the first time, National Day Reception was held in Hawassa. There are about 200 Indian nationals in Hawassa – working in 6 Indian factories at Hawassa Industrial Park and professors and lecturers at Hawassa University.
