Flag Hoisting Ceremony on 73rd Independence Day of India

On15th August 2019, a flag hoisting ceremony was organized in the Chancery compound of Embassy of India, Addis Ababa. Ambassador Mr. Anurag Srivastava unfurled the flag in presence of a large gathering of people from Indian community and friends of India.

Ambassador read out the message of Hon’ble President of India. Ambassador also highlighted the importance of this Independence Day and of the year 2019, as we are also celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Ambassador informed the Indian community about various events and activities organized/planned by the Mission for the year to mark these milestones. Ambassador also appreciated the Community for their active participation in these events to make them successful.

A brief cultural programme was also presented by the Missions officials and local Indian Community
