India and African Union Engage on Peace, Security, and Regional Stability

Continuing their official engagements in Addis Ababa, the Indian delegation led by Mr. Dammu Ravi, Secretary (Economic Relations), along with Mr. Mayank Singh, Joint Secretary (E&SA), met with H.E. Amb Bankole Adeoye, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security, African Union Commission (11 June 2025).

The discussions emphasized India’s strong commitment to peace and stability in Africa, with a focus on conflict prevention, peacekeeping, and regional security cooperation.

This meeting marks yet another step in strengthening India–AU ties, reaffirming shared values and common aspirations for a peaceful and prosperous Africa.
