Interaction with State Ministers for Foreign Affairs & Trade and Industry (25 May 2021)

As part of India@75 celebrations, Embassy and India Business Forum (IBF) organized a business interaction at the Embassy premises. State Minister for Foreign Affairs HE Tsion Teklu and State Minister for Trade & Industry HE Amb Misganu Arga interacted with more than 110 Indian investors. Representatives of Ministry of Mines and Ethiopian Investment Commission also attended the interaction.

Presentations of Ethiopian Investment Commission and Ministry of Mines highlighted the opportunities and the improving environment for foreign investors in Ethiopia as also the positive measures being taken by the Ethiopian Government for ease of doing business in Ethiopia. IBF made presentations on the role of IBF in facilitating Indian investors in Ethiopia, investment opportunities in Ethiopia as also the challenges faced by Indian investors in the country.

During the Q&A session, many Indian investors raised their problems/issues. State Minister for Foreign Affairs listened to them and assured them of early resolution of their issues.
