Meeting with the Chairperson of African Union Commission

The delegation led by Mr. Dammu Ravi, Secretary (Economic Relations), Ministry of External Affairs, along with Mr. Mayank Singh, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa) later called on H.E. Mr. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union Commission (12 June 2025).

The meeting highlighted India’s enduring support for the African Union and its visionary Agenda 2063. Both sides discussed avenues for enhanced collaboration in peacebuilding, technological innovation, food and health security, and youth empowerment.

The dialogue reaffirmed India’s strong commitment to multilateralism, regional stability, and development through partnership. India and the African Union continue to share a rich legacy of solidarity and cooperation rooted in mutual respect and shared aspirations.
