The 14^th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention will be held from 7^th to 9^th January at the Bangalore International Exhibitions Centre in Bangaluru, in partnership with the Government of Karnataka.

The highlights are as follows:

1. A new website pbdindia.gov.in is functional and contains details of the programme for the PBD convention.
2. Only overseas Indian invited by Ministry, GOI officials and invited foreign dignitaries and their delegations are exempted from registration fees. All others are expected to pay registration fees online.
3. Deadline for registration online is 7^th December 2016.
4. Youth PBD is a new element organized since the 13^th PBD. This is mainly for NRI and PIO youth of 18-30 years.
5. On 8^th January PBD will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister who will deliver the Keynote Address.
6. Theme of 14^th PBD will be “Redefining Engagement with the Indian Diaspora”.
