Qawwali evenings in Ethiopia (14 Sept 2022)

ICCR had sponsored the visit of a Qawwali group led by Shri Syed Nasir Husain to Ethiopia (12-14 Sept). The group performed in Bishofu, Addis Ababa and Hawassa. These concerts were held as part of AKAM and commemoration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Ethiopia.

The first concert was held in Bishoftu town (12 Sept). It was attended by more than 200 guests including the Indian community. The performance in Addis Ababa was held at EoI premises (13 Sept). It was attended by more than 300 guests. The third concert was held at Hawassa in southern Ethiopia (14 Sept). It was attended by about 150 guests including about 50 friends of India, ICCR & ITEC alumni.
