Strengthening India–Africa Collaboration in Health and Social Development

An Indian delegation led by Mr. Dammu Ravi, Secretary (Economic Relations), Ministry of External Affairs, along with Mr. Mayank Singh, Joint Secretary (East & Southern Africa) began their official visit to Addis Ababa today (11 June 2025).

The delegation had a productive meeting with H.E. Amma Adomaa Twum-Amoah, Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs, and Social Development at the African Union Commission.

The discussions centered on strengthening cooperation in public health, social development, and humanitarian initiatives. Both sides reaffirmed their shared vision for a resilient and inclusive future, particularly in areas impacting human development across Africa.
