Study in India Education Fair

Under the ‘Study in India (SII)’ project of the Government of India being implemented by the Ministry of Human Resources (MHRD) in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs, a ‘Study in India Education Fair 2020’ was organized in Hotel Capital, Addis Ababa on 10-11 January, 2020. Twelve leading educational institutes ( out of 116 institutes which are part of SII for the academic year 2020 – 21) participated in the Fair. The aim of the ‘Study in India Education fair’ was to reach out to the Ethiopian students and  create greater  awareness of educational opportunities in India. The fair witnessed an excellent participation from interested Ethiopian students with over 1200 of them visiting and interacting with the participating universities.

 

The “Study in India” programme has partnered with 100+ premier Indian institutes like IIMs, IITs, NITs, private and government institutes shortlisted on the basis of NIRF top 100 rankings and NAAC accreditation score (3.26 or above out of 4). The programme offers  attractive tuition fee waiver of up to 100% to deserving  international students with courses ranging across UG, PG, PhD & niche segments through the SII portal (www.studyinindia.gov.in). Meritorious students can avail “Study in India scholarship” of up to USD 12,000 additionally along with the fee waiver. The process of admission at “Study in India” is completely online where a student has to go on the website (www.studyinindia.gov.in), register, login, fill the student information, choose courses with fee waivers in top institute of their choice and submit the application. After the Mock and Final Counselling rounds,  the chosen colleges will directly convey the Allotment letter.
