INDIA PAVILION at Africa Sourcing Fashion Week in Addis Ababa (4 Nov 2022)

The Synthetic and Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council, 11 Indian companies and 2 Indian companies based in Ethiopia are participating at the Africa Sourcing Fashion Week in Addis Ababa (4-7 Nov 2022).

 Ethiopian Minister of Industry H.E. Mr. Melaku Alebel and Minister of Tourism H.E. Nasise Chall inaugurated the India Pavilion.

 On the sidelines, a Roadshow on Source India to be held in Mumbai on 28-20 Nov 2022 was held at the Embassy.

 India is the second largest trading partner for Ethiopia. In 2021, bilateral trade stood at USD 1.7 billion. There is tremendous scope to expand and diversify the trade basket. Also, there are 12 Indian textile companies in Ethiopia, generating employment to about 20,000 Ethiopian workers.
