On 15 August 2025, the Embassy of India in Addis Ababa hosted a special programme under the Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2025″ celebrations, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. As part of the event, the Embassy curated a vibrant cultural segment showcasing live demonstrations of tribal craftsmanship. Ethiopian tribal artisans presented a wide range of traditional skills, including clay pottery, painting, leather crafting, basket weaving, handloom weaving, and the operation of the charkha, among others.
